Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality arm of Transnational Corporation Plc, has posted record revenue of N97.04 billion for the 2025 financial year, representing a 38 percent increase from N70.13 billion recorded in 2024.

The performance was disclosed in the company’s audited financial statements submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited. The hospitality group remains one of the listed companies on the Exchange with a market capitalisation above N1 trillion.

Revenue growth during the year was driven by strong demand across its core business segments, including room occupancy, conferencing services, food and beverage operations, and other complementary hospitality offerings. The company’s gross profit margin improved to 77 percent, up from 71 percent in the previous year, supported by higher volumes, efficient cost control, and improved operational processes.

Operating profit rose by 35 percent to N35.24 billion, compared with N26.03 billion in 2024. Profit before tax increased by 45 percent to N32.82 billion from N22.61 billion, while profit after tax grew 47 percent year-on-year to N21.85 billion, up from N14.90 billion.

Chair of the Board, Dr. Awele Elumelu, described the 2025 performance as a major achievement, noting that the company has continued to reinforce its financial base. She stated that total assets and equity expanded by 14 percent and 18 percent respectively, positioning the business for future growth. According to her, the company remains focused on operational excellence and exploring new opportunities for sustainable long-term value creation.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Uzoamaka Oshogwe, said the results marked a significant milestone for the company, highlighting the record revenue and the rise in retained earnings from N63.23 billion in 2024 to N77.53 billion in 2025. She attributed the performance to disciplined operations, strong cost management, and the workforce’s commitment to service delivery.

Oshogwe added that the company is pursuing a forward-looking strategy, including continued investment in key infrastructure such as the 5,000-seat Transcorp Centre. She said the facility is positioning Nigeria as a leading destination for international conferences and major events. The company also plans to deepen innovation and adopt advanced technologies to strengthen its brand and elevate hospitality standards across Africa.

On the balance sheet, total assets grew to N159.91 billion from N140.70 billion in 2024, reflecting ongoing investment in physical infrastructure to support expansion. Shareholders’ equity increased to N95.23 billion from N80.52 billion in the previous year.
