Man United Stun Arsenal With Late 3–2 Win at Emirates

Manchester United dealt a major blow to Arsenal’s Premier League title ambitions after Matheus Cunha’s stunning late goal sealed a thrilling 3-2 victory over the league leaders at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Arsenal took the lead when Lisandro Martinez turned the ball into his own net, but United responded before the break through Bryan Mbeumo’s equaliser. The visitors went ahead after half-time courtesy of a superb strike from Patrick Dorgu, only for Mikel Merino to restore parity late on and appear to have salvaged a point for the hosts.

However, Cunha produced a moment of brilliance three minutes from time, firing home a decisive effort to secure United’s first win at the Emirates since December 2017.

The defeat ended Arsenal’s 13-game unbeaten run in all competitions and marked their first home loss in 18 matches. It also tightened the Premier League title race, with Arsenal now just four points clear of second-placed Manchester City and third-placed Aston Villa, both of whom recorded wins over the weekend.

Despite earlier praise from City manager Pep Guardiola, who described Arsenal as the “best team in the world,” Mikel Arteta’s side are now winless in three league matches, raising fresh concerns among supporters. Arsenal, who have not won the title in 22 years, face a crucial test in the coming weeks as they attempt to maintain their grip on the summit.

For United, the victory continued an impressive start under interim manager Michael Carrick. The win followed last weekend’s surprise success against Manchester City and lifted United into fourth place after a turbulent period that led to the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.
