Victor Osimhen found the net as Galatasaray secured a hard-fought victory over Fatih Karagümrük in a Turkish Super Lig encounter at the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadium on Saturday night.

The defending champions made a blistering start, taking the lead inside the opening minute through Gabriel Sara. Fatih Karagümrük responded in the 27th minute when Baris Kalayci equalised, ensuring both sides went into the break level.

Galatasaray regained control shortly after the restart, with Sara completing his brace early in the second half to restore the visitors’ advantage. Osimhen then sealed the win in the 55th minute, calmly converting to score Galatasaray’s third goal of the match.

The strike was Osimhen’s 50th goal for the Istanbul club and took his tally to seven league goals this season and 13 in all competitions from 18 appearances.

The victory keeps Galatasaray top of the Super Lig standings, extending their lead to four points over closest rivals Fenerbahçe.
