Morocco’s Brahim Díaz has moved to the top of the scoring chart following the conclusion of the AFCON 2025 semi-finals, with the Real Madrid forward netting five goals to lead the hosts’ push for the title.

Díaz holds a narrow lead over Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, who are both on four goals each as the tournament heads into its final phase.

The race for the Golden Boot has been keenly contested throughout the competition, reflecting the attacking quality on display at the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

However, the elimination of Nigeria and Egypt has handed Díaz a clear advantage, with the Moroccan forward now in position to extend his lead or clinch the top scorer award outright as the hosts chase continental glory.

AFCON 2025 top scorers:

  • Brahim Díaz (Morocco) – 5 goals
  • Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) – 4 goals
  • Mohamed Salah (Egypt) – 4 goals
  • Ademola Lookman (Nigeria) – 3 goals
  • Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast) – 3 goals
  • Ayoub El Kaabi (Morocco) – 3 goals
  • Lassine Sinayoko (Mali) – 3 goals
  • Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) – 3 goals
